Tell us about yourself:

My husband and I retired the Friday before this past Christmas and traveled on Christmas Eve day and Christmas day to our new home here in NC. We have a dog named Ranger. 

I enjoy traveling, reading, sports(watching), quilting, and visiting family and friends.

Tell us about your yoga journey:

I took my first yoga class in 2019. About 8 months later, the pandemic forced the facility to close and I worked out at home until I joined Piper Moon shortly after we moved here. 

What has yoga done for you? What benefits have you seen?

Practicing yoga has done more than just burning calories and maintaining or losing weight for me. Yoga has low risk of injuries than other forms of exercise, which I became prone to.

With yoga, I am more flexible, stronger, and leaner. I sleep better, feel calmer, and youthful! The benefits are truly wholistic!

What’s your favorite pose?

Core workout is my thing. Although, I do enjoy the half-moon pose. But every part of the class, from warm up to savasana cool down, is fabulous!

What really takes the cake for me is when Kim sings during the cool down and when Brenda has us dance to the “Cupid Shuffle”!
