My name is Sharon and I have lived in Youngsville for 9 years. I have 2 sons, 2 cats, and 2 dogs. I work in IT now after working in healthcare for many years.
Tell us about your yoga journey:
I have never taken a yoga class prior to coming to Piper Moon. I liked that it was so close to my house. I was going to the gym, and I started practicing yoga because I felt bored at the gym. I wanted to do something more mindful with more instruction that could still give me good results.
What has yoga done for you? What benefits have you seen?
Yoga has been my physical therapy. I had chronic back pain and was uncomfortable most of the time. I saw a physical therapist and almost all the exercises they gave me looked like yoga. So I decided to give yoga a try and do it all the time. Since I started I have seen a tremendous improvement in my back pain and my strength overall.
What’s your favorite pose?
I love Triangle pose and Eagle arms. They seem to stretch the hard-to-reach places.
